Penn Performing Arts Initiative logo A collaboration among the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, the Platt Student Performing Arts House and the Theatre Arts Program and the Department of Music in the School of Arts and Sciences, the Penn Performing Arts Initiative (PPAI) advances co-curricular, extra-curricular and professional performing arts activities and collaborations on Penn’s campus and beyond. From artist residencies and master classes to student festivals and access to world class performances, PPAI fosters opportunities that engage both Penn students and the broader community.

Penn Performing Arts Regional Council

The Penn Performing Arts Initiative is supported by a national network of chapters that comprise the Penn Performing Arts Regional Council. These regional volunteers serve as ambassadors for the performing arts at Penn by clearly articulating its importance to the educational and University life experience.

The three main objectives of the Penn Performing Arts Regional Council include:


Established in 2016 with the Penn Performing Arts Regional Council of New York, plans are in place to expand to other regions, including Philadelphia, Los Angeles and Chicago. Contact Kristin Winch to learn more about joining a Penn Performing Arts Regional Council in one of these cities.
