Statement from the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts Regarding COVID-19 and Upcoming Performances (Update)March 18, 2020
Amid the turmoil of the global coronavirus pandemic, the Annenberg Center is first and foremost committed to safeguarding the health and well-being of our community. Public health experts say that social distancing is a critical step to mitigating the spread of COVID-19, and the Annenberg Center is doing its part.
In line with the University of Pennsylvania’s new guidelines, the Annenberg Center has postponed or cancelled all events through May 12th, in conjunction with the end of the spring semester. New performance dates are being identified and updates will be provided as soon as dates have been rescheduled. Please contact the box office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 215.898.3900 if you have any questions.
All Annenberg Center staff members are currently working from home. The box office is currently closed for in-person service; customer support is available via email and telephone on the following modified schedule: Monday through Friday, 10 AM to 5 PM.
If a performance is postponed, ticket holders will be automatically transferred into the new date. If a performance is cancelled, or if patrons cannot make the new date of a postponed performance, the following options are available:
- tickets may be exchanged into a future performance at no additional charge;
- patrons may receive a credit on account for the value of the tickets;
- patrons may donate the value of their tickets as a much-appreciated gift to the Annenberg Center’s Annual Fund; or
- patrons may request a refund.
Contact the box office at email@example.com or 215.898.3900.
The Annenberg Center will continue to follow the University’s guidelines and will follow up as the situation develops. For more information about Penn’s response, please visit https://coronavirus.upenn.edu.
