The Annenberg Center is the home of the oldest children’s festival in the nation, celebrating its 30th anniversary in the 13/14 season. Sold-out student performances provide young people with valuable and rare opportunities to experience high quality theatre, music and dance created expressly for them. Taking place in all the venues at the Annenberg Center – Zellerbach Theatre, Prince Theatre and Bruce Montgomery Theatre – it also includes hands on activities in the lobby and outdoors.

Ticket subsidies will allow you to underwrite the costs of attendance and transportation for children in low-income neighborhoods and under-performing schools, with an emphasis on the School District of Philadelphia. This is a critical need as many schools no longer have the budget for field trips and transportation, resulting in a waiting list for subsidies.
Without the support of the community – foundations, individuals and corporations – the Children's Festival would not continue to remain affordable to schools and the students they serve. Budget constraints prevent many schools from providing music or performing arts programs, and attendance at the Children's Festival is often their only opportunity to experience high-quality live performing art.
