Annenberg Center Receives Philadelphia Foundation Grant

(Philadelphia, July 23, 2014)—The Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts is pleased to announce it received a $104,277.99 grant from the Virginia C. Mulconroy Fund of the Philadelphia Foundation. Announced by R. Andrew Swinney, President of the Foundation, the grant will provide funding assistance to sustain the Annenberg Center’s program and marketing efforts as well as supporting the longer-term development, implementation and promotion of program initiatives.

The Annenberg Center will use the funding to help broaden and deepen its commitment to culturally specific roots programming and to its By Local series; increase the relevance and reach of its children’s programming; and, sustain its annual series of jazz, theatre and dance performances.

The Annenberg Center is proud of its past accomplishments, while remaining committed to exploring new opportunities. The Foundation’s generous support allows the Annenberg Center to continue to present high-quality work, encourage active participation in the arts, increase access for diverse communities and maintain and enhance our organizational strength for the benefit of audiences across the greater Philadelphia region.
